Advise
The Alumni/Development Visual Enquiry System
Advise can now be installed and is capable of updating
itself over the web whenever a new version becomes available. The Oracle client Windows components must
still be installed locally but after that, just set the appropriate option in
Advise it will keep itself up-to-date.
Support personnel no longer need to update user installations when a
new version of Advise comes out.

to the Advise Information
Center
Advise is a visual interface with the university's Alumni/Development
database. This Windows-based application was developed at AIS to assist
university development officers in planning fund-raising activities and
managers in evaluating the success of fund-raising efforts. Advise was
designed to look and behave like most of the Windows software customers were
already accustomed to using. It is easy to learn, easy to use and provides
tremendous flexibility and responsiveness in meeting the university's fund-raising
needs. The current version of Advise (8.x) is a 32-bit, Windows 98/NT/XP
application written with Borland Delphi.
